Another idea we're looking into is enhanced list downloads. Currently we let you download bounces and unsubscribes but a new feature would allow you to download all unique list members in your account, with or without bounces and unsubscribes.
Would you find it helpful to be able to get an easy export of all list members?

Absolutely -- especially if we can get the exact list of who we sent to, and what their "experience" is.
Hi Ron,

Thanks for your feedback.

I wonder if you could expand upon your concept of the list member's "experience". Would this be a particular member's responses to the campaigns you've sent to them? If so I wonder if this other posting is something that would begin to outline that for you: http://lounge.verticalresponse.com/forum/topic/show?id=2026477%3ATo...

In that posting I talk about how we'd be able to start showing you the bigger picture around a single list member; the lists they're on, campaigns they've received, surveys taken, etc. Is that the experience you're talking about?

Many thanks,

Jeremy
I just started using VR and love it! I really appreciate being able to check out a complete list who has opened and clicked for specific email campaigns. One thing I did notice that would really help though, is if I could view that information in my browser, like the Domain Specific Statistics but maybe Individual Specific Statistics, instead of having to download it in a csv.
Hi Justin,

I'm glad to hear you've been enjoying our service. If I'm reading you right, the enhancement you're talking about is under consideration. The single list member view was planned for this kind of expansion in the future so that you can see the entire lifetime history of the list member in one spot without downloading the campaigns they're a part of. We'll get to it in a matter of time.

Please do let me know if you have any other ideas for enhancements.

This would be incredibly helpful to me. We are conducting a VR survey on our website; the enticement is that if you provide your contact info, we'll send you a free thumb drive. But there's no way for me to download that list of names and addresses from VR...I have to copy and paste the info individually into a spreadsheet, or print out the info for each person and create mailing labels by hand. This is a tremendous time- and tree-waster. I've considered the inability to download full lists a major weakness with VR, and I truly hope you address this in the near future.
Hi Jennifer,

If I'm understanding you then it sounds like you need to download a set of survey recipients, is that right? if so, are you using the download link on the Reporting tab of your launched survey? It contains contact information depending how you collect it. Did you do a traditional or blindfold survey? Also are you asking for the contact information in a survey question. We'll see if we can solve this for you.

Jeremy
It's an anonymous survey posted to our website only. When I download the survey results, I only see the responses to the main survey questions, not the contact info that people are asked to provide. It seems the only way I can extract the contact information is to create a mailing list, then open each individual name to see their contact details.
Hi Jennifer,

I just popped into your account and saw what I believe was contact information for the one survey responder in the survey launched on October 7th. Here's what I did:

- on the Surveys tab click the survey name
- click the "Reporting" tab
- click on the "Download Responses" link and when the balloon opens, select the CSV file to export the raw data
- on the next page, for Step 1, Choose "Full" for the "Contact Info Length"
- for Step 2, select whichever question you'd like to see responses for
- click "Download" at the bottom of the page.

The file I got had contact information for the one survey respondent. Is that what you see when you do this?
Fantastic! That worked! Thanks so much.
Was this feature already implemented? I noticed it a few weeks ago and downloaded my list. Are you adding additional filtering options? How will it be different than what's available now?
Hi Harry,

Yes you're seeing the enhanced list downloads in your account already. We've added some new features to brand new accounts as of a few weeks ago so you're seeing the new downloads.

Are there additional filtering options in which you're interested?

I originally posted these suggestions in General Discussion and decided to move them here. VR is a great affordable mailing tool for small businesses and I like it better than some of the others.

After using VR for a few months, I have some ideas on enhancements that would be very helpful:

1. In addition to custom field types "text" and "check box" for opt-in forms, a select list (like the one for state) would be great to allow members to select predefined values from a list. This could be used to collect demographics such as company size. A select list would simplify an opt-in form that uses check boxes for several options (a single select field instead of a dozen check boxes).

2. The ability to easily filter lists based on different fields including the select fields when sending emails and postcards. This might be accomplished with the current segment feature.

3. Additional customization options for the opt-in and profile forms to add instructions and other text to the forms.

I like the way VR handles profile updates. Instead of requiring subscribers to create (and remember) a user ID and password, they simply enter their email in the opt-on form and get an email with a link to view.edit their profile data. I hope you keep this feature even if you do add a user ID/password option.

Keep up the good work!
