VerticalResponse Marketing Lounge

Creating an archive of your VerticalResponse Newsletters is easy; here is what you'll need:

Step1: Create a bookmark for your newsletter.

After you've launched you VR newsletter click on the hosted version link and bookmark the hosted version of your newsletter using your delicious account. Tag it with a unique tag like "vrnlarchive".

Step 2: Copy the feed for that bookmark and "burn" it.

Take the feed for that tag by clicking on the "RSS feed for these Bookmarks" link on the bottom of the page, and copying the URL from the location bar.

Go to Google Feedburner and "Burn" that feed. Once your feed is burnt, click the "publicize" tab in your feedburner account and activate "BuzzBoost."

Step 3: Publish the "burned" feed on your website.

Take the HTML output provided by the Feedburner BuzzBoost feature and paste it on your website.

You're Done - Success!

Here's an example of an archive created for the VR Buzz newsletter using these steps.

Dang ... that's a lot of work!

I simply post a link to the archived version onto my Blog on an article specifically titled as my archive.

Now, I make sure I used the "archived" link, and not the personal link, so that no one can accidentally unsubscribe me from my own mailing -- and no personal information is displayed - just the generic text I use.
You lost me after hello. Can you expand on the direction: "After you've launched you VR newsletter click on the hosted version link." What and where is a "hosted version link" and where do I look for it?

Hi Billy,

Once you've signed into your VerticalResponse account, select the sent email you want to use, then from the menu on the left of the dashboard for that email, select "Share Email" -- it looks like this:

Then copy the URL -- it will look like this:

And you should be all set.

Cheers, --Chris.

Got it. I did that unknowingly to post my newsletter at Facebook. Looks like I have good instincts. Some of us need a bit more hand-holding.
Will the archived emails ever expire? I.e. will VR always keep a hosted copy of the emails?
Hi RRoy,

VR keeps a copy of your hosted emails and they do not expire; there is no limit as to how many emails you can have in your archive.

Cheers, --Chris.

Hi there,

Is there ONE place I can access for ALL my archived emails? I've sent out MANY, have several accounts/clients. Does each account that I have have an archive list somewhere?

thanks

Thank you Ron as your way was much simpler than what my business Coach was having me do.

thank you thank you thank you

Marge

I would seem that Delicious has changed there is no longer a screen that looks like step 2. So I am stopped in my attempt to archive my newsletters. Or I can't figure out how to get a screen that looks like that, so I could use some help.
