do you have to strip out all css to have html emails forward correctly in outlook? I've read every best practices out there and general rule is that style attributes can be added, but my tables and divs (used sparingly) are always screwed up upon forward.

Heidi, the issue is the way that each mail system and mail app handles the various elements of email campaigns. I learned very early on that some systems strip out references to external scripts and css files. I understand why they do it and it makes me feel a little safer when I receive email campaigns in my inbox as well. Can you please tell us how you are appying the css in your campaigns (external file, inline, etc.)
