Hi everyone
I'm new to email marketing and I have lots and lots of leads but all of them are a bit dated some are couple months old and some are older.
I'd like some tips or oppinions of how to handel them or are they useless.
I've started a campaign and I think I'm able to form a relationship with some of them and profit from it.
In my opinion all leads are good leads! It's now up to you to sort through them. Luckily, vertical response will filter our all "bounced" email addresses for you and will only mail those who's email addresses are still valid. I would recommend that you cleanse your leads prior to importing them into VR (they are much more easy to manipulate in excel than in VR). Once uploaded, create a campaign. Be creative on the first one because if it is bad, your second and third emails will not be opened. VR offer some decent tamplates. I have found that many pictures and great subject lines along with cool links really help open rates.
Hope this helps!

The best way to get a pulse on cold leads is with a very direct and simple call to action.
Simply end your email with a good question or offer that will evoke an immediate response such as, "Can I send you a copy of our catalog?" (or whatever is relevant to your business).
You will quickly see which leads can easily be moved to your "hot leads" list wheras a simple informative email with no call to action may generate no response even if your leads are interested and keeping you in the dark.
