Hi-
I've done both- I've had used my own and I've used the wizard. If you're looking to take your email look to another level, I'd recommend hiring a graphic designer who can probably create a template for you for a couple hundred dollars.

Once you have an email made you can always copy it each new campaign and make edits.

Craig, I find a wizard that is close to my vision of what the email should look like, and modify it. I am a graphic designer, so I take lots of liberties with the original design. When working with clients on their email look/feel, I design the first email to use as a template, then train them to add their text and make changes. I agree with Carolyn, that if you want to bump things up a notch, work with a graphic designer.

HI Craig-

I'm so glad you brought this up! Unless we entrepreneurs happen to be web designers, we have to 1) use VR templates or 2) hire someone. Hiring someone is not only expensive, but it creates delays and acts as something standing in the way of our using VR.

I would have used VR a LOT more if they had more templates I liked.

I finally had a newsletter from a big company whose style I like copied and altered by a professional. I think that is the easiest way to solve this problem now. Find something you like and get someone to copy the design and change it. But it would sure be great if VR had more nice templates to choose from!
