Email Opt Out

Hi Matt,

Did you rebuild your list before sending your email again? Or did you just use the list that was already in your VerticalResponse account? Because we won't see the opt-out in Salesforce unless you run a query and build the list again...

I did do the list again, but I don't know about "rebuilding it".

In Vertical Response I have my original upload list. THen I have the lists that I re-run before each sending.

If the name is in the original list but has been "opted-out" of the one I rerun, will they still get the email?

If you're not using the original list to actually send an email, then you shouldn't have a problem. When you rerun a particular list, that should take care of the problem since you are building a new list and our system automatically ignores addresses that are marked as "opted out" within Salesforce when a new list is built.

Could this particular record be duplicated within Salesforce? If you search Salesforce for the email address in question, does only one record come up?

And if I am using the original list what's the best way for me to combine my two lists... the original (with more emails, but not complete contact info) and the one pulled from SalesForce?

Is there easy way to maintain at least 2 different email opt outs, one for marketing messages, other for client relations?
