Share 'Getting through the spam filters'

I'm a new Vertical Response user, and I'm wondering if there Is there any way to get my emails through spam filters. I know of at least one contact who said my email ended up in her spam filter, and I have the sneaking suspicion that my email to her is not the only one that got sucked up before it reached its intended recipient. Thanks for your help!
